Carol was born April 8, 1939, in Sterling, IL, the daughter of Luther H. and Marilyn P. (Perry) Leesman. She married Richard Alvin Schoedel in 1960, and he preceded her in death in 2012.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Marilyn.
Carol is survived by her children, Erica (Ed) Sharar of Santa Ana, CA and William “Bill” Schoedel of Springfield, IL; four grandchildren, Rachel and Jack Sharar and Lizzie and Noah Schoedel; and siblings, William (Sherie) Leesman of Galt, IL, Christine (Carl) Johanson of Plantation Key, FL, and Julie Leesman of Englewood, CO.
Private family services are being held.
