Our family lost our head cheerleader, our source of family spirit, and our beautiful daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, niece, aunt, and everybody’s friend. She was the best mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, niece, aunt, and friend.
Carole Meyer Fulcher went to heaven to join her earthly father, William Meyer, and to spend eternity with her heavenly father. Carole was not only beautiful, she was artistic, fun, smart, and caring.
Carole was a talented hairstylist, a fun-loving family member and friend, and the most tenderhearted person on earth. She could not bear to see anyone, person or animal, suffer. It is unfair that she had to fight so hard against such a terrible enemy, cancer, at the end. But the end did not define her or limit her. Her love, her kindness, her spirit, and our many memories of her will forever be an inspiration to us all.
She is survived by her mother, Sandra Meyer, her son, Michael Fulcher, his wife Courtney, grand-daughters Brooklyn and Madison, her sister Cathy Cunningham and her family, and her cousins, Noah Poorman, other family and her very dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father William Meyer, her uncles Jack Unsell and Larry Halstad, and other friends.
The visitation will be on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Bisch and Sons, 505 East Allen Street, Springfield, Illinois and her memorial service will be on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 2941 Koke Mill Road, Springfield, Illinois.
“Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28.
