ADD A MEMORY

February 3, 2017

I want to make a correction to my earlier Condolence note to the Family of Carolyn Hacker Bayliff. For some reason I was thinking "Fenton" when I sent my earlier note. Sorry about the last name spelling. I do hope the Hacker and Bayliff families are doing as best as possible with each new passing day.

May Carolyn rest in peace.

Carolyn's loss has left such a hole in so many hearts, but Heaven has gained a truly kind, loving, generous and incredibly beautiful soul. If there's a silver lining for me, it's that she's been reunited with her beloved "Ray Ben". I'd like to think they're sharing a lot of laughter and music (and if there's a lake up there, some skiing). She will be so missed. My thoughts are with Scott and the kids.

My heart is heavy for all you, so much so that I wish I had those few words that could make reality falsified. Carolyn has a true heart of spirit, a perfect blend of love, friendship and the uncanny ability to reassure anyone that "it will be all right"She was true to her friends and strongly loved her family. She was such a good person. To Scott and the kids, this journey is long and and there are no short cuts. Lean on all your family and friends and know that her spirit, like Ben's, will never ever leave your side. Love from our house to yours.

Scott and Ben,

Please accept my most humble and sincere sympathy for the great loss you have suffered with Carolyn's passing. I did not know Carolyn, but I have worked with Scott for 9 years as he answers his calling to help others at Place for People. Because Scott is someone I admire and respect greatly as I witness daily his service to others, I know Carolyn must have been a wonderful and caring human being. I also had the pleasure of working with son Ben for a year there as my IT Intern, and I want you both to you that my heart is with you both in the days ahead. You should know you have a loving, extended family at Place for People, and I am proud to have worked with you there, and will always be there to help you realize how fortunate you were to experience the joy of such a loving wife and family. And know that Carolyn will always be with you for all of eternity.

Scott, Ben and Callie,
My thoughts and prayers are with you, and with that precious, smart boy, Luke. Carolyn was a bottle of sunshine and happiness. Her infectious laughter made me laugh! She will be missed but she will live on in the warm memories and love of everyone who knew her. May God grant you all peace in your hearts. May He wrap you all in His arms of comfort and love.

To Carolyn Hacker Fenton's Family and loved ones. Carolyn and I attended Southeast High School together and when I learned of her passing this week, I said a prayer to St. Joseph (who is known for many great things, but known for those sick and dying for a peaceful death) and the prayer goes like this: Dear St. Joseph, Foster Father of Jesus Christ, please pray for those that are sick and dying this day and night (and then add your loved ones name), please pray for Carolyn Hacker Fenton.

May she rest in peace with our Dear Lord Jesus.

Scott, Benjamin and Callie Marie,

Please accept my most sincere sympathies for the loss of your wife and mother. Just over 35 years ago I worked with Carolyn at SIU School of Medicine in Springfield, Il. I was Psych. Dept. manager there at that time and Carolyn was on staff in the dept. She was a wonderful, cheerful and special individual. It was my privilege to know and work with her for just a few short years. She will also have a place in our hearts. May she rest in God's peace.
