Catherine M. "Cathy" Tremain

She was born on March 29, 1955, in Springfield to Robert Selhime and Rose Barger Selhime. Catherine married Randy E. Tremain Sr. on March 18, 1978, and he survives.

Mrs. Tremain is also survived by two children: Christina (Caleb) Sheets of Springfield and Randy E. (Kate) Tremain Jr., of Taylorville and eight grandchildren: Kailee Tremain, Irene Tremain, Loren Vocks, Abba Vocks and Jeremiah Vocks, Melody Wolf, Sophia Sheets and Zoey Sheets.

Cathy enjoyed listening to music and line dancing. She enjoyed going to the gun range with her husband Randy and playing with her grandchildren. She worked for Horace Mann early in life but she loved restaurant work. She enjoyed working the most at the A&W Root Beer that was across from the airport and The Den Chili Parlor on 9th street. She was a member of South Side Christian Church.

Arrangements are in the care of Bisch and Son Funeral Home 505 E. Allen St. Springfield, IL where the family will greet family and friends on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 9:00 am until the time of a funeral service at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Pastor Brooks Wilson will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
