Charles A. ''Chuck'' Blankenship, 56, of Springfield, formerly of South Bend, IN, passed away at 12:22 a.m., Monday, June 18, 2001 at St. John's Hospice. Charles was born June 14, 1946 the son of Charles J. and Eula Juanita Sevey Blankenship in Lincoln. Mr. Blankenship was a truck driver for Preston Trucking Company. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mary Moler He is survived by one son: Charles R. (wife, Michelle) Blankenship of Springfield; one sister Pearl of FL; one grandson: Austin R. Blankenship; one uncle; two nephews and several cousins. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family of Charles A. ''Chuck'' Blankenship is being served by Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
