Cheryl R. ''Ki'' Geske Kent

Cheryl R. “Ki” Geske Kent, age 54 of Springfield passed away at 4:55 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2002 at St. John’s Hospital. She was born on April 10, 1947 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Frank and Phyllis Geske Sr. She was a graduate of Quincy Senior High School and received her associates degree from John A. Logan College in Carterville. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Society Cheryl loved communicating with her friends through her computer. She loved her family very much. She was preceded in death by her mother and one brother: Frank Geske, Jr. She is survived by one daughter: Ronni (Greg) Selinger of Springfield; one son: Jamie Kent of Nevada, Missouri; three grandchildren: James, Matthew and Ellen Selinger; father: Frank Geske, Sr. of Anna; one brother: Ron (Sharon) Geske of Danville; sister-in-law: Lynn Geske; several nieces and nephews and her very special caregiver: Teresa. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2002 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fawcett Cemetery, Edgerton, Wisconsin. Memorial contributions may be made to the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation, 500 Morris Ave., Springfield, NJ 07081. The family of Cheryl Geske Kent is being served by Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center.
