Cindy Busby

Cindy Busby, 60, of Springfield passed away at 2:20 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Memorial Medical Center. Cindy was born on February 12, 1950 in Springfield, the daughter of Earl and Yvonne Wilcox Daniels. She was a graduate of Lake Land College and then received her Bachelor Degree from Greenville College. Cindy was a purchasing agent for the Hope Institute and also worked part time at Sears. She was in the Handbell Choir at Westside Christian Church and worked in both the children’s and nursing home ministries at Westside Christian Church. Cindy belonged to the Springfield International Folk Dancing Group and was also an usher at the UIS Sangamon Auditorium. She enjoyed playing piano, gardening, camping, traveling and cherished her family time. Cindy was a very sacrificial, caring and giving person. She was preceded in death by her mother; a daughter, Lori Anne Lemay; and two brothers, Kenneth and Russell Daniels. She is survived by her father, Earl (wife, Barbara) Daniels of Cantrall; two sons, Paul (wife, Melissa) Lemay of Tuscola and Jeffrey (wife, Emily) Lemay of Lincoln; one daughter, Katrina Lemay of Charleston; grandchildren, Mariah, Josiah and Hannah Lemay of Tuscola and Aidan and Ethan Lemay of Lincoln; and one brother, Joseph (wife, Sandy) Daniels of Frisco, TX. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St, Springfield. A funeral ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Westside Christian Church, 2850 Cider Mill Lane, Springfield, with Vaughn Beeman, officiant. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
