Claude M. "Brownie" Brown

Claude M. 'Brownie' Brown, 84 of Springfield died at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, November 25, 2004 at St. John’s Hospital. Claude was born October 30, 1920 in Hardinsburg, KY, the son of Claude and Maime Carman Brown. He married Anna Eileen Murphy on November 26, 1947 at St. Agnes Catholic Church and she preceded him in death on May 2, 1993. He was a graduate of Athens High School. Claude retired from Fiat Allis where he had been employed as a machinist. He was a member of Church of the Little Flower and Eagles Club. He is survived by his son: Randall J. Brown of Springfield, daughter: Sheila Ann Hustava of Springfield, granddaughter: Ashley Ann Hustava, brothers: Tom E. (wife, Betty) Brown of Springfield and James Leroy (wife, Frieda) Brown of Girard, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 4-7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 29, 2004 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at Church of the Little Flower with Fr. Chuck Edwards celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Eagles Club, 2700 E. Ash, Springfield, IL 62703. The family of Claude M.
