

Lincoln, Nebraska – Connie Lynn (Beetzel) Fegan, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on January 19, 2026, in Lincoln NE. She was 79 years old, and is remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Born November 16th, 1946, to Orville and Eunice Beetzel, Connie was a woman of profound faith and a cornerstone of her church community. Throughout a distinguished career in the medical field, she demonstrated an unwavering commitment to helping others, and was ultimately named the Director of Managed Care at Prairie Cardiovascular in Springfield, Illinois.
In addition to her professional achievements, Connie was a natural community builder." From leading Campfire Girls, to volunteering for Project Literacy, or supporting the Rees Carillon Society, she carried a gracious and kind spirit that infused everything she touched. In her final years at Aviva Woodlands, Connie served as the first Resident Ambassador, welcoming others with the same warmth and generosity that defined her entire life.
Connie was the beloved wife of Louis Frankie Fegan. They were married on November 12, 1965, and recently celebrated 60 years of marriage. Frank followed her in death on February 28, 2026.
A faithful and spiritual woman, Connie was known as a supportive and steady presence for all who knew her.
She is survived by son, Michael and his wife Kellie (Remer) Fegan; and her daughter Patricia (Fegan) Souliere and her husband Ron. She also leaves behind three grandsons who were her pride and joy: Brandon Fegan (31), Alex Souliere (29), and Christopher Fegan (27).
Connie was predeceased by her parents, Orville and Eunice Beetzel.
Connie will be forever loved and remembered for her deep faith, kind heart, and the enduring generosity she shared with her family and community.
