David Earl Hulvey, 57, of Springfield, passed away at 9:50 p.m. on Friday, September 10, 2010 at Memorial Medical Center. David was born May 1, 1953 in Champaign, the son of Clinton and Clara Gillespie Hulvey. David was a 1971 graduate of Hillcrest High School in Oak Forest. He worked for H.E. Burge Plumbing and Heating prior to working for Gary Getz Plumbing for 22 years. He was a very devoted father and grandfather with a passion for Harley motorcycles and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents. David is survived by his sons, Shawn Hulvey, Jon Hulvey, Wesley (wife, Tanya) Hulvey, Greg (wife, Alaina) Hulvey and Ryan Hulvey, all of Springfield; grandchildren, Wesley Hulvey II, Zachary Hulvey, Ezra Hulvey, Spencer Hulvey, Peyton Hulvey, Ethan Hulvey and Rylee Hulvey; and siblings, Stephen (wife, Sandra) Hulvey of Springfield and Robert (wife, Debbi) Hulvey of Columbus, OH. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center. The family of David Hulvey is being served by Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home.
