He was born in Springfield on October 2, 1984, the son of Alan Lee and Barbara E. (Jastrzebski) Jones.
David attended Jane Addams and Enos Elementary School in Springfield, Grant Middle School, and later attended Lanphier High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. David lived in Florida for several years before moving back to Springfield. He had a great sense of humor and cherished animals, especially his pets.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alan.
David is survived by his mother, Barbara Jones; brother, Matthew (Katie) Jones; sister, Jennifer (David) Helfrich; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Memorial Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Butler Funeral Home- Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, with Parian Hull officiating.
