

David Lee Truax, 43, of Sherman, died at 8:15 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center due to a vehicle accident. David was born on December 22, 1961 in Springfield, the son of Wayne and Shirley Cook Truax. He married Lisa Fox on February 14, 1992. He was most recently employed by Solomon Color, Inc. and had previously been employed by Turris Coal Mine in Elkhart and St. Francis Convent. He loved landscaping and for a short time he owned his own landscaping company. David did not have a selfish bone in his body and wanted to help everyone. He was preceded in death by his father in 1985. He is survived by his wife: Lisa Ann Truax of Sherman; one son: Ryan Truax of Sherman; three daughters: Shelby and Erin Truax both of Sherman and Kristy (husband, Brian) Kutzora of Pensacola, FL; mother: Shirley (Husband, David) Gurski of Springfield; one brother: Wayne Truax, Jr. of Springfield and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2005 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Pennell, officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
