David Vincent Wagnerowski

David was born on January 6, 1944 in South Bend, IN, the son of Edward T. and Martha Ewald Wagnerowski. He married Margaret Sturgis on April 11, 2003 in Springfield.

David was a graduate of New Carlisle High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. David had been a police officer and served with his two canine partners, Kip and Duke. He also worked for the Omaha Public Power District in Omaha, NE in nuclear security. David then worked for the St. Joseph Health System in Mishawaka where he met his wife. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, fishing, and working in his yard.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Georgia; daughter, Kathy Wagnerowski; his parents; and brothers, Alvin and Richard Wagnerowski.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Wagnerowski of Holmen, WI; one son, David (wife, Joy) Wagnerowski, Jr. of New Carlisle, IN; and granddaughter, Georgia Wagnerowski.

Private family graveside ceremony will be held with military honors provided by the Interveterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County.
