Deborah Sue (Norris) Fleming, affectionately known as "Deb," passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. A vibrant spirit with a deep appreciation for life, Deb will be remembered for her creativity, adventurous heart, and the warmth she brought to everyone who knew her.
Deb was a talented artist whose work reflected her vibrant outlook and unique perspective. With an adventurous soul, she found great joy in traveling, always eager to explore new places and experience different cultures. Whether near or far, she carried her curiosity and enthusiasm wherever she went.
Additionally, Deb was a skilled photographer who captured the beauty of the world through her lens. Each year, she lovingly created and shared a calendar with family and friends, featuring her photographs from the exotic locations she had visited. These calendars became a cherished tradition, and we eagerly awaited them each year to share in her latest adventures.
Deb attended the University of Illinois and dedicated part of her career to serving others as a pharmacy assistant at Taylorville Memorial Hospital and later through her work with the State of Illinois. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.
Deb is survived by her parents, Lawrence and Donna Norris of St. Louis; her brother, Douglas Norris, and Marcia Rubin of Florida; her sisters, Jeanne Flowers of Texas, Nancy and her husband Peter Ashline of Florida, Diane and her husband Grant Cannon of St. Louis, and Theresa Saldivar of Arizona. She also leaves behind twenty nieces and nephews, as well as ten great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom she cherished deeply.
Deb’s kindness, laughter, artistic spirit, and the beautiful memories she created will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be dearly missed.
