Debra Kay (Petefish) Huck, 59, of Virginia, IL, passed away on November 28, 2024, at Springfield Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Debra was born December 2, 1964, in Jacksonville, IL, daughter of George and Betty (Cooper) Petefish Edlen. Debra had also resided in Oklahoma and Texas.
She is survived by her spouse, Joe, of six years; sisters-in-law, Sharon Huck, Deej Dambrauskas, Ginny Schofield, all from Springfield, IL, and Diane Huck of St. Louis, MO; brother-in-law, Robert (Scheley) of Springfield, IL; aunts, Marilyn Petefish of Virginia, IL, Peggy Sim of Springfield, IL; and one uncle, Gary Noe of Beardstown, IL; several cousins, and her best friend, Amy Marr of Springfield, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and several aunts and uncles.
Debra was a graduate of Virginia High School and attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She retired from Walmart after 23 years of service. Debra liked to bake, decorate her home, care for her pets, and post on Facebook.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
