

Delores Jane Carmichael, 65, of Springfield, passed away at 3:15 a.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2002 at her residence. Delores was born October 27, 1936 the daughter of Garbrand and Florence Condor Lessen in Lincoln, IL. She married Samuel G. “Sam” Carmichael in 1988 in Burlington, Iowa; he preceded her in death April 16, 1991. Delores was a graduate of Hartsburg-Emden High School and had attended Lincoln Land Community College. She retired as the Executive Assistant to the Vice President at The Franklin (American General). She enjoyed golf and swimming and was active in various civic and charitable organizations. She also attended First United Methodist Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Virgil and Galen Lessen. She is survived by one son: Terry Davison of Lincoln; one daughter: Patti (husband, Neil) Williamson of Springfield; five grandchildren: AuBree Williamson, Lindsey Ginger, Carrie Beth Davison, Stephen (wife, Crystal) Williamson, Karen Williamson; three great grandchildren; one sister: Virginia (husband, Richard) Lusher of Delavan and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at First United Methodist Church from 9-11:00 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2002. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2002 at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Margaret Seimer officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery in Logan County.
