Delores Julia Estell

She was born in Centralia, IL, January 13, 1930 the daughter of John and Sylvia (Williams) Foglia. She married Carroll T. Estell June 21, 1963 and he preceded her in death, October 30, 1984. She was also preceded in death by her two sons: David P. Maddox and Larry D. Maddox as well as six brothers and two sisters.

Delores was a homemaker, tending to the duties of raising her children and caring for her family. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Macomb. Delores enjoyed ceramics and was an instructor. She was an avid bowler and loved working puzzles, especially with her grandchildren. Delores loved to travel and was fortunate to travel extensively throughout the United States, Europe and East Asia. Her family meant everything to her. Family gatherings, sharing in events of the grandchildren and holidays. She will be missed by her family and many friends.

Surviving are her two children: Brenda (husband Jim) Easley of Springfield, and Philip (wife Ronda) Estell of Chatham, IL, eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, her step-daughter, Joan Stonerock of Waynesville, NC, her sister, Sylvia (husband Stanley) Fritz of Decatur, IL and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are in the care of Bisch Funeral Home West 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd. Springfield, where the family will greet family and friends from 9:00 am Friday, February 24, 2023 until the time of a funeral service at 10:00 am. Pastor Rick Wenneborg will officiate. Burial will follow in Old Stonington Cemetery, Stonington, IL.
