

He was born on April 17, 1957, the son of the late Donald L. and Dorlene J. (Hinson) Riedel. He married Carol Hermes (daughter Kayla) and they later divorced. He later married Kimberly Clark on Oct. 10, 1997 in Springfield and they survive.
Dennis served in the U.S. Navy. He worked as an Administrative Specialist for AT&T. He previously operated Riedel Power Mower Service, and enjoyed fishing with his son.
Besides his wife Kim, he is survived by his children, Kayla (Andrew Crum) Riedel, Brooke Lantz, Emily Lantz, and Daniel Riedel, all of Springfield; his brother Donald Riedel II of Springfield; his sister Mary Jo (Phil) Cornell of Athens; a niece Samantha (Stephanie) King of Springfield, a great-niece Angelica King of Virginia, IL, and several other nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Debbie Avey, and a nephew David King.
Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield, where visitation will be held on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016 from 2pm until time of the funeral service at 5 pm. Blake Carter will officiate the service. Per his wishes, cremation rites will then be accorded and a private graveside ser vice will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield.
