Diana Y. Lowe, 65, of Springfield, passed away at 8:05 p.m. on Friday, September 2, 2016 at her home. Diana was born on March 8, 1951 in Springfield, the daughter of Melvin Sr. and Marlene Linders Peake. She married Dennis "Paine" Lowe, Sr. She was a homemaker her whole life and she enjoyed traveling and gambling. She was a very straightforward woman with a big heart and loved taking care of people who needed help. Diana was preceded in death by her parents; and her sons, Christopher Alan Lowe and Dennis Lowe, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Dennis; her sons, Craig Lowe of Springfield and Darren K. (Laura Mitros) Lowe of Springfield; her daughters, Shelly (Mike Weller) Lowe of Springfield, Yvonne (Shannon) Miller of Springfield; her six brothers and sisters, Theresa Rosa, Michael Peake, Dawn Blakeman, Dorothy Champion, Mary Horn, and Melvin Peake, Jr.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the ceremony at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 12, 2016 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th Street, Springfield with Brandy Black officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
