He was preceded in death by his aunt, Stephanie Fritsch; and uncle, Joseph Lawson.
He is survived by his parents of Jacksonville; two siblings, Rylen and Scarlett Smith; maternal grandparents, James and Becky Lawson of Jacksonville; paternal grandparents, Mark and Katherine Fritsch of Jacksonville and Springfield; great-grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.
Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to private family ceremonies.
The family is being served by Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield.
