She was born in Springfield, Oct. 1, 1948, the daughter of Rodney D. and Doris L. (Hocker) Robinson. Dixie graduated from Fietshans High School. She married James Mogle in Springfield at the Third Presbyterian Church, Sept. 3, 1970, and he survives.
Also surviving are her two children; Brian (Brandie) Schroeder and Tiffany (Steve) Davidson, two grandchildren; Stone Schroeder and Sky Schroeder all of Springfield, her sister-in-law, Jill Robinson of Chatham and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Her parents and a brother, Denny Robinson preceded her in death.
Dixie served as a secretary for Charles Robbins Real Estate and Springfield Real Estate. She worked for the Springfield Shopper and helped create the Shopper Showcase. She was the owner and operator of Heart of Dixie Crafts and offered her creations throughout shops and malls in central Illinois, most recently at the The Village Tea Room and Gift Shoppe in Springfield.
Dixie served as a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader, a Cub Scout Den Mother and was a member of the American Businesswomen’s Association. She was also active and involved with the class reunion committee of Fietshans High School. Above all, her love and devotion was her family. She found great joy being a grandma.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Oak Hill Cemetery, Springfield. Pastor Mark Gifford will officiate.
