

She was born on November 17, 1932, in Verona, IL, the daughter of William and Irene (Butler) Starks. Dollie married Charles R. “Charlie” Cleaver on November 28, 1952, in Springfield.
Dollie graduated from Girard High School in 1949. She went on to become an accountant with Capital Plumbing and Heating for 19 years. Dollie enjoyed collecting cookbooks, embroidery, going to Spring City, TN with Charlie to fish, and traveling and antiquing with Charlie. She was effervescent, kind-hearted and outgoing. Family meant everything to Dollie, and she dearly loved raising her children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Gregory L. and Lance K. Cleaver; grandson, Nicholas Fenski; granddaughter, Candance Cleaver; sister, Joyce Roe; and brothers, Gene, Glenn, Eldon and Billy Starks.
Dollie is survived by her husband, Charles “Charlie” Cleaver of Chatham; daughter, Dara L. (Rob) Clement of Mt. Auburn; son, Cameron Cleaver of Chatham; sister, Shirley (Dave) Hicks of Jacksonville; 13 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Burial will take place at Camp Butler National Cemetery at a later date.
