Dolores J. Turley

She was born on October 5, 1931, in Springfield, IL, to Paul and Gladys Bentley. Dolores married Earl LaRue Turley in 1951, and he preceded her in death in 2009. Her parents and son, Robert Turley, also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Turley is survived by her son, Michael (Ticara) of Springfield; six grandchildren, Josh, Brandon, Erik, Adam, and Noah Turley, and Nikki Smith; nine great-grandchildren; four nephews; four nieces; and two brothers, Larry Bentley and Jack (Betty) Bentley.

Mrs. Turley graduated from Springfield High School and attended Springfield Junior College. She was a legal secretary and retired from the law firm of Heyl Royster in 1996. She was a longtime member of West Side Christian Church, a founding member of the TNT Bible Class, and served as a Bible School teacher and youth sponsor.

Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

The family will host a private Celebration of Life at a later date.

The family is being served by Butler Funeral Home- Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
