Donald W. "Don" Casper, 83, of Springfield, died Monday, July 24, 2017 at his home surrounded by loved ones. Don was born November 25, 1933, the son of Albert L. and Agnes Yanor Casper. He married Joan Aletha Staab on June 15, 1957 at Blessed Sacrament. Don was preceded in death by his parents and many great family members and friends. He is survived by his wife, Joan; sons, Stephen, Brian and Michael Casper; daughter, Katie Merriman; and many other great family members and friends. Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1725 S. Walnut St., Springfield, with Rev. Jeff Grant, celebrant. The family will host a celebration of Dons life and will invite other family and friends in attendance to join them at the conclusion of the Funeral Mass.
