

Don was born on April 30, 1964, in Springfield, the son of Donald Eugene Crenshaw Jr. and Lois Marie Spain-Crenshaw. He married Sheri A. Draper on August 18, 1984.
Don was a Williamsville High School graduate. He followed in his father’s footsteps by joining the family business, Lake Area Disposal, at a young age. He then became Manager at Lake Area Recycling and took pride in his work. He treated every employee as if they were a part of his family. Don was a wonderful person, who touched the lives of many through his caring and generous demeanor. He enjoyed the outdoors, cruising around in his Jeep with the top and doors off, had the need for speed in his Dodge Challenger, working on his 1960 Chevy truck, a good cigar and tequila, spending time with his family, grandchildren, and great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.
He is survived by his mother, Lois of Riverton; wife, Sheri Crenshaw of Springfield; two children, Kristina (husband, Jacob) Aldridge of Illiopolis and Don (wife, Deana) Crenshaw IV of Riverton; five grandchildren, Miaya, Aydin, Kamden, Donnie V, and Chloe; one great-grandchild, Gracelyn; and three siblings, Debra Crenshaw of Springfield, Jamie Crenshaw of Springfield, and Wayne Crenshaw of Riverton.
Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies.
Memorial Gathering and Memorial Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Pasfield Southern Baptist Church, 411 West Lenox Ave, Springfield, IL 62704. A Memorial Ceremony will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Milton Bost officiating.
The family is being served by Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S Sixth St, Springfield.
