Donna Lee Cottingham

Donna was a 1953 graduate of Pleasant Plains High School. She worked for a number of years at Pillsbury Mills, Inc. until she stayed home to care for her three children. She later worked for Buckley’s Greenhouse and Schlosser’s Country Garden Center.

Donna had been a faithful member of South Side Christian Church until her decline in health.

She is survived by her two sons, Ronald Cottingham of Conroe, TX; Daniel (Tony Peters) Cottingham of Conroe, TX; a daughter, Lisa (Kevin) Standley of Petersburg, IL; grandchildren, Courtney, Kayla, Dalton, and Luke; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Austin, Levi and Oden; sisters, Joyce (Jack) Cook, Martha Beck, Franky Brown and brother, Robert (Kim) Pressler. There are several nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews.

Donna was proceeded in death by her parents; stepmother, Gloria Brown; ex-husband, Reuben (Babe) Cottingham; sisters, Patty and Nancy Brown, and Shirley Cox; brothers, Larry (Butch) Brown, Ray and Marshall Pressler.

The family will receive guests Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Bisch Funeral Home, 2931 South Koke Mill Road, Springfield, IL. A private graveside service will follow. After the service family and friends are invited to the K of C Hall, 2801 West St., Springfield, IL to share a meal and memories.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Children’s Hospital 800 E. Carpenter Springfield, IL 62702 in Donna’s memory.
