Donna E. Frost

Donna E. Frost, 72, of Springfield, passed away at 12:35 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2015 at St. John's Hospital. Donna was born January 1, 1943 in Springfield, the daughter of Peter J. and Mary A. Chernis Urbanckas. She married G. Robert "Bob" Frost on February 8, 1969 at St. Vincent de Paul Lithuanian Catholic Church; he preceded her in death in 2003. Donna was a graduate of Lanphier High School. She was employed as a teletype setter with the State Journal-Register, until she became a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Donna was a member of the TRN Club, the Lithuanian American Club, and National Honor Society. She was a fun loving and generous person who will be dearly missed. She was also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by one son, Brent Frost of Chicago; one daughter, Jennifer (husband, Tom) Berola of Auburn; two grandchildren, Tyler and Connor Berola of Auburn; one sister, Pat Mathews of Springfield; nephews; and cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 South 6th Street, Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service. Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at St. Aloysius Church, 2000 Sangamon Avenue, Springfield, with Rev. Msgr. David S. Lantz officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
