Doris Ann Clarke

She was born on December 11, 1935, in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Thomas E. Clarke and Vivian D. (Welle) Clarke.

Doris worked for the State of Illinois, Department of Public Health her entire working career, retiring on January 1, 1998.

She was very active in the Church of the Little Flower, having spent many years in the choir.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Donna L. Keating; and niece, Mary A. Clarke.

She is survived by her brothers, Thomas J. (Sandra) Clarke of Frisco, TX and Robert P. (Kimberly) Clarke of St. Louis, MO; nieces and nephews, Thomas Jr., Madonna, Edward, Katherine, Steve, Jennifer, Bridget, Ryan, and David; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to the Villas Memory Care of Sherman and Hallmark Healthcare of Carlinville for the care for Doris.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Church of the Little Flower, 800 Stevenson Dr., Springfield, with Fr. Allen Kemme, celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
