Dorothy E. "DeEllen" Corbett, 91, of Springfield, died at 5:15 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center. Ms. Corbett was born on February 18, 1922 in Chicago, the daughter of Earl and Dorothy Mae McDonald Corbett. She was a graduate of Ursuline Academy and a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish. Ms. Corbett retired from George S. Grimmett and Co. after 30 years as a kitchen designer. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Earl F. Corbett, Jr. and one sister, Rosemary White. She is survived by one sister, V. J. Garvey of Lincoln; one niece, Karen Anne (husband, Sam) Davis of Lincoln; one great niece, Brittany Bonaparte; two great great nephews, Alex McIntosh and Blake Chamberlain, both of Lincoln; one great great niece, Madison Bonaparte of Lincoln. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to the ceremonies. Memorial Gathering: The family will receive friends from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Private burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
