Dorothy Mae Crabtree, 87, of Berlin, died at 7:10 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. Dorothy was born on January 3, 1924, the daughter of George and Lee Morgan Sheppard. She married Lenvil Crabtree in July, 1939. He preceded her in death on January 15, 1945. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Albert Sheppard; and sister, Katherine Graham. She is survived by two daughters, D. Dolores Johnson of Springfield and Anna Mae Shafer of Berlin; two grandsons, Neil (wife, Tracy) Shafer and Wade Shafer, both of Berlin; two great-grandsons, Terence and Tanner Shafer; one niece; three nephews; and many cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 10:00a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Monday, August 29, 2011 at McCullough-Delaney and Butler Funeral Home, 714 E. Gibson St., New Berlin. Funeral ceremony will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Jerry Lynch officiating. Burial will follow at Woodwreath Cemetery, near New Berlin.
