Dorothy L. Gorman, 96, of Springfield, died at 3:05 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at Heritage Manor. Dorothy was born February 18, 1910 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Robert and Dora Dreckman Tegge. She married Stephen L. Gorman on July 20, 1929 in Valparaiso, IN; he preceded her in death on May 17, 1961. Mrs. Gorman was a housekeeper for the Lincoln Motel in Dixon, IL before moving to Springfield in 1980. She was also preceded in death by her son: Dan Gorman; two sisters and two brothers. She is survived by one daughter: Muriel Nellis of Springfield; four grandchildren: Joyce Donahue of Joliet, Danielle Gorman of AZ, Stephen (wife, Gail) Snodgrass of Watsonville, CA and David Gorman of AZ; and four great grandsons. Cremation accorded by the Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Private family services will be held. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Clear Lake Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Manor Memorial Gardens, 900 N. Rutledge, Springfield, IL 62702. The family of Dorothy L.
