Dorothy F. Murphy, 91, of Sherman, died at 6:10 a.m. on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Villa Health Care East in Sherman. Dorothy was born August 10, 1921 in Springfield, the daughter of John F. and Agnes Bowyer Murphy. Dorothy retired as a clerk from the State of Illinois Department of Insurance. She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters; and two brothers. She is survived by 100 nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 245 N. Amos Ave., Springfield. Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Rev. Robert Jallas, celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
