Dorothy Jeanette Quinn, 86, of Springfield, died at 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at St. John's Hospital. Dorothy was born December 3, 1925 in Wabash Township, Clark County, the daughter of Russell and Margaret Smith Weaver. Dorothy was retired from the State of Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant son; and two siblings. She is survived by two sons, Larry (wife, Sally) Quinn of Springfield and Douglas (wife, Elaine) Quinn of Yorktown, TX; four grandchildren, Jennifer Farrell, Molly (husband, Jeffrey) Fleischli, and Anthony Quinn, all of Springfield, and Patrick Quinn of Yorktown, TX; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, including Nicki Herrington of Clayton, MO, Brad (wife, Debbie) Kesler and John (wife, Diane) Kesler, both of West Terre Haute, IN; and several cousins, including Ruth Greiner of Terre Haute. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center. Private family ceremonies were held. Memorial contributions may be made to: St. John's Hospice, 800 E. Carpenter, Springfield, IL 62702.
