Dorothy Mountz Wagner

She was born in Pontiac, Oct. 4, 1927 the daughter of Homer D. and Marie Smith Mountz.She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Robert Eugene Mountz and her grandson John Charles Schmadeke.

Dorothy attended Springfield High School and William Woods College. She was a respected business woman in the Springfield community for many years and was the owner of ABC Telephone Answering Service and the Physicians and Surgeons Exchange. She was a member of the Springfield Junior League. Her biggest enjoyment was her family. Dorothy was a wonderful mother and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband William; daughters, Melissa Chapman Cassady(husband, Allen) of Shorewood and Nancie Chapman Brown (husband, Michael) of Springfield; five grandchildren, Jim(Michelle), Ted (Carolyn),Dorothy (Dave), Chip (Holly) and Elizabeth (Mike) and six great grandchildren, Collin, Madison, Camryn, Ashley, Connor and Sean.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday May 2, 2009 in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Animal Protective League, 1001 Taintor Rd. Springfield, IL. 62702.
