She was born on February 23, 1925 in Baxter Springs, Kansas to Aaron Monroe Medlock and Francis Robinette.
Her family and friends knew her as Joan and she was a Seaman First Class in the US Navy. In 1946 she married her sweet heart Len Lenhart in Sacramento, California. Joan and Len made their home in Springfield, Illinois. She was a card player, crafter, painter and most of all a great cook.
Joan is survived by nieces and nephews including great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Len and her siblings: Paul, Mary, Harold, Howard and Louise.
A private burial took place at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
