Earl Vernon Reno, Jr, 64, of Springfield, passed away at 2:14 p.m. on Friday, March 26, 2010 at St. John’s Hopsital. He was born April 1, 1945 in Alton to Earl and Dorothy Gotthardt Reno. He worked for Lincoln Cab Company for 40 years. Earl had a heart of gold and was a hard worker. He was a member of A.B.A.T.E and did toy runs. He loved riding his Harley and had a great love for his animals. Earl loved Nascar and was a dedicated Earnhardt fan. He was preceded in death by his parents. Earl is survived by his companion, Patsy Tutt of Springfield; a son, Earl Reno III (companion, Barbara Clauser) of Pawnee; five stepdaughters; and several grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, with James Harmon officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
