Edward F. Harp

Edward was born May 21, 1941, in Springfield, the son of Millard F. and Anna Catherine Selinger Harp.

He worked as a news carrier for the State Journal-Register covering the Sims Western Acres area in the morning and evening times for 18 years. Edward worked at SPARC for 20 years organizing hangers. He was a member of Christ the King.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Ellen Jones; and several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his sister, Jo Ann Hamende of Springfield and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at Christ the King Church, 1930 Barberry, Springfield, IL 62704 with Rev. Michael Berndt, celebrant. A private family burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
