Eileen V. Kirkton

Eileen V. Kirkton, 86, of Chatham, IL, passed away Monday, August 20, 2012, at St. John�s Hospital in Springfield. Born in El Paso, IL, on February 15, 1926, she was the daughter of William C. and Margaret L. Bernhardy Mool. On January 1, 1946, she married Willis �Bill� Kirkton, who preceded her in death on October 8, 2011. Her parents and brother, Myron Mool, also preceded her in death. Mrs. Kirkton is survived by her children, Carolyn (Fred) Compardo of Pawnee, Barbara Jean (Richard) Hand of Petersburg, and David Willis (Soon H.) Kirkton of O�Fallon, IL; grandchildren � Carrie Jo, Megan, David, Kimberly, Jennifer, Jeffrey; great grandchildren Elle Joellyn, Cole, Emily, Megan, Joshua, Parker and a great grandson expected in December; step-grandchildren Kristy and Jason; step-great grandchildren Cole, Paige and Layla; brother Robert (Alice) Mool of Gridley. Mrs. Kirkton worked at Federated Funeral Directors for 27 years in the accounts receivable section. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Kirkton was a member of Chatham Christian Church. Visitation: Thursday, August 23, from 4-7PM at Staab Polk Memorial Home, 8855 State Route 4, Chatham. Visitation and funeral services: Friday, August 24, 9AM until time of services at 10AM, at Chatham Christian Church, with Rick Wenneborg officiating. Burial will follow at Chatham Memorial Cemetery.
