

Eleanor J. Duffy, 91, of Springfield, died at 3:45 a.m. on Monday, June 16, 2014 at Regency. Eleanor was born October 19, 1922 in Cherry, IL, the daughter of Charles and Kate Querio Noverio. She married Jack A. Duffy on March 3, 1946 in Marseilles; he preceded her in death in 1998. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Frank Noverio; one sister, Eloise Massey; and two infant siblings. She is survived by two daughters, Kathy (husband, James) Mueller of Chatham and Karen (husband, Philip) Aho of Riverton; four grandchildren, Bradley J. Mueller and son, Brayden Mueller of Chatham, Kevin J. Mueller of Springfield, Brian D. Aho of Middleton, WI, and Shelley M. (husband, Josh) Lee and daughter, Olivia Lee of Mascoutah; one sister, Kathryn (husband, Fred) Orlovich of Joliet; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ceremonies: Family will receive friends from 10:30-11:15 a.m. on Friday, June 20, 2014 at St. Cabrini Catholic Church, 1020 N. Milton Ave., Springfield. Funeral Mass will take place at 11:30 a.m. with Fr. Joseph Ring celebrant. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Regency Nursing Home for their loving care. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
