

Eleanor M. Weber, 88, of Springfield, died Sunday February 10, 2002 at the Villa Healthcare East in Sherman. Mrs. Weber was born April 21st, 1913 in Springfield, the daughter of George & Margaret Fortune Maher. She married William M. Weber in 1938; he preceded her in death December 12, 1998. She was also preceded in death by two brothers- George & Lawrence Maher, and a sister- Mary M. Wall. She was a graduate of Ursuline Academy and worked for a number of years at the office of Secretary of State. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and St. Agnes Altar & Rosary Society. She loved to play bridge and, later in life, bingo at the Villa. She is survived by a son- George Michael Weber of Las Vegas, NV; twin daughters- Patrice W. (husband-Scott) Shapiro of Dayton, OH and Peggy (husband-Daniel) Cadigan of Springfield; five grandchildren- Brittany, Zane, Cody, and Slade Weber of Las Vegas and Shannon Cadigan of Springfield; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 251 North Amos Avenue. Funeral Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Agnes Catholic Church, the Very Rev. Patrick Wright VF celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
