Elizabeth ''Bea'' Bauer, 87, of Springfield passed away at 7:30 a.m., Friday, December 22, 2000 at her residence. She was born October 17, 1913 the daughter of Ernest and Minnie Lindsay Hayward in Springfield. She later married Harold Bauer on June 14, 1941 in Staten Island, NY and he survives. Mrs. Bauer was a homemaker and was a member of the Pasfield Baptist Church. She was also the former pianist for the Southern Baptist and Pasfield Baptist Churches. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers: Milton and Frank Hayward. She is survived by her husband: Harold of Springfield; one son: Harold (wife-Judith) Bauer, Jr. of Springfield; three grandsons: Kyle Dahm, Dylan Bauer, and Tyler Bauer all of Springfield; one sister: Ruth Scillitoe of Springfield, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 26, 2000. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2000 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Milton Bost officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery. The family of Elizabeth Bauer is being served by Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
