

Elsa A. Barria, 35, of Springfield died at 7:55 a.m. Thursday, November 11, 2004 at St. John’s Hospice. Elsa was born December 31, 1968 in Cincinnati, OH, the daughter of Clyde Thomas and Barbara K. Miller Breidenbaugh. She married German Barria on May 12, 1992 in Springfield. Elsa graduated from Pleasant Plains High School. She received an Associates Degree in Business from Lincoln Land Community College. She was employed at Wal-Mart as a salesclerk and also had previously been employed at National City Bank in the data entry department. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers: Clyde Breidenbaugh and Manyard Lancaster and grandmother, Elsie Hughes. She is survived by her husband: German Barria of Springfield, two sons: Justin and Lucas Barria, one daughter: Marissa Barria all of Springfield, mother: Barbara Breidenbaugh of Springfield, father: C. Thomas (wife, Rosemary) Breidenbaugh of Edinburg, one sister: Wendy Decker of Springfield, one step sister: Rae Anne (husband, Tom) House of Springfield, one brother: Mark Breidenbaugh of Edinburg, two step brothers: Larry (wife, Elise) Meyer of Jacksonville, David (wife, Margaret) Meyer of Edinburg, mother-in-law: Maria Gonzalez of Panama and grandmother: Esther Hunter of Indianapolis, IN, one aunt, one uncle, one niece, one nephew and several cousins. Family will receive friends from 4-7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 14, 2004 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Additional visitation will be from 9-10:00 a.m. Monday, November 15, 2004 at Concordia Lutheran Church, 2300 Wilshire Rd., Springfield. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 15, 2004 at Concordia Lutheran Church, 2300 Wilshire Rd., Springfield with Rev. Charles Olander officiating. Burial will follow in Edinburg Cemetery in Edinburg. There will be separate trust funds set up for Justin Barria, Lucas Barria and Marissa Barria the children of Elsa Barria at Bank of Springfield, P.O. Box 19301, Springfield, IL 62794.
