Emma L. Cundiff, 88, of Springfield, passed away at 5:50 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Heritage Manor. Emma was born February 2, 1924 in Mt. Pulaski, the daughter of Adam and Mildred Hamilton Weckel. She married John W. Cundiff on September 2, 1942; he preceded her in death in 1975. Emma worked at the Ammunitions Plant during WWII and Saputo's Restaurant in Springfield for many years. Her greatest joy in life was her family and she was known for her vegetable soup. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Virginia Helmick. She is survived by her son, Danny R. (wife, Vickie) Cundiff of Riverton; one grandchild, Suzannah Cundiff of Riverton; one great-grandchild, Tanya Cundiff of Riverton; and two nieces, Linda (husband, Lyle) Lindsey of Downs and Sandy Shaw of Farmer City.
