Emma Elizabeth Ruggless, 91, of New Berlin, died at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, January 4, 2010 at Capitol Care in Springfield. Emma was born August 5, 1918 in Ashland the daughter of Alva John and Emma Gladys Potter Ruggless. Emma was a member of Berlin Christian Church. She devoted her life to her family and farm life, helping her parents on the family farm, doing whatever was needed. She enjoyed making quilts, playing the organ and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Alva "Al" and John Ruggless, and Robert Ruggless; and sisters: Eunice Bascom, Clara Ball, and Mary Louise Frank. She is survived by a sister Leah May Miller of Springfield; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 8, 2010 at McCullough-Delaney and Butler Funeral Home, 714 E Gibson, New Berlin. Funeral ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday January 9, 2010 at the McCullough-Delaney and Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Warren Brosi officiating.
