She was born on February 29, 1932, in Springfield, IL, the daughter of John G. and Helen (Sanders) Minder. Erma married Carl E. Morris in Springfield, and he preceded her in death on September 5, 1980.
Erma was a lifelong member of the Springfield community. She enjoyed collecting owls and loved getting her hair done every week. Erma was known as a caring soul who cherished spending time with family.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lorene Coady and Alberta George; and daughter, Gloria Petitt.
Erma is survived by her grandchildren, Kayla Hussey, Nicole Haas, Kimberly Hussey, Aaron Solomon, and Jaiden and Alaina Haas.
Burial will take place at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
