Ernest L. Doud

Ernest was born on March 25, 1949, in Springfield, IL, the son of Joseph J. and Frances C. Turasky Doud. He married Judy Evans; she preceded him in death on January 20, 1985.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Ellen Dudley; and brother, Joseph W. Doud.

Ernest is survived by his sons, Ernest “Ernie” J. (Melissa Calhoun) Doud and Jace Walters Doud; daughter, Amanda (Tom) Parker; grandson, Wyatt Parker; sisters, Barbara (Robert) Churchill and Alberta (Peter) Levan; several aunts, uncles; nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his special friends, Davey and Jumbo who he had lots of adventures with.

Visitation: Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 26, 2024, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, IL.

Graveside Ceremony: 11:45 on Friday, January 26, 2024, at Calvary Cemetery.
