

She was born Oct. 5,1911 in Kansas City,MO. the daughter of Albert "Bert" Benjamin Watts,Jr. and Roxie Luella Alvies Watts. She married William Floyd "Doc" Dunkel in 1943 at her home in Farmingdale. He preceded her in death in 1982.
She graduated from Springfield High School in 1929 and attended Illinois College and Boulder College. She taught in one room schoolhouses at Washburn School, Farmingdale School and White School. She also was a home instructor for the Springfield School District. She also owned and managed farmland.
She volunteered at the Salvation Army for over 20 years and at ILCAP. She was a member of Cherry Hills Baptist Church for over 50 years and was active in many roles in the church. She was a member of the Farminmgdale Presbyterian Church Missionary Societies, the D. A. R. and the Geneological Society.
Eugenia loved and was loved by her family, friends and all that knew her. Her spiritual gift from God was being a heartfelt, generous and caring person.. Eugenia especially loved all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but her greatest love was for Jesus Christ her Savior.
Eugenia loved to travel including visiting all 50 states, Europe, Israel and Maderia. Her most recent trip was to Disneyworld in March with 10 of her family and friends.
She is survived by a daughter, Wanda Dunkel; son, William "Bill"(wife, Barb) Dunkel and daughter Mary Elizabeth( husband, Richard) Kinner all of Pleasant Plains; seven grandchildren, Roxie Dunkel(husband, Scott) McCullar, Christina Dunkel Riebling, Tracy Henry(husband,Mike) Trello, William Keith Dunkel,Stephanie Dunkel, Kirsten Kinner(Husband, Andy) Davin and Kevin Kinner; five great grandchildren, Rachel McCullar, Mitch McCullar, Marshall Reibling, Alexandra Trello, Chase TRello and many friends especially, Florence Williams and Sara Shroth.
Friends may call Friday Aug. 31,2007 from 4 to 8:00pm at Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel. Friends may call Saturday Sept. 1,2007 at Cherry Hills Baptist Church from 10:00am until the time of services there at 11:00am with Rev. Jeff Nelson officiating. Interment will be in Farmington Cemetery, Farmingdale.
