

Everett Edward "Ed" Conboy, 77, of Chatham, died at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at St. John's Hospital. Ed was born April 21, 1938 in Springfield, the son of Everett and Minnie Marie Major Conboy. Ed was a life-long resident of Chatham, graduating from Glenwood High School. He was member of St. Joseph the Worker Church. Ed managed the family farm, and enjoyed his HAM radio (KC9LTV). He was known as "Mr. Ed" on the CB radio. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Norine Duncheon; a brother, William Michael Conboy; and a niece, Lynn Herring. He is survived by a sister-in-law, Evelyn Conboy; eight nieces and nephews, Denise (husband, Mike) Upchurch, Diane (husband, Joel) Messmore, Rindie (husband, Mark) Jeffers, Mike Conboy, Patricia (husband, Scott) Daiker, Pam (husband, Phil) Wiese, Mark (wife, Misti) Conboy, and Larry Duncheon; and numerous great and great-great-nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 9:00 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Parish, 700 E. Spruce St., Chatham. Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Parish, with Rev. George L. Morelock celebrant. Burial will follow at Joel Hall Cemetery.
