Florence Eileen Hudson, 85, of Riverton, died at 2:37 a.m. on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Villa East in Sherman. Florence was born December 15, 1931 in Riverton, the daughter of Arthur Lee and Janie Pauline Pope Simmons. She married Kelvin Neal Hudson on May 20, 1950 in Springfield; he preceded her in death on January 28, 2017. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother, Edward Lee Simmons. She is survived by her daughters, Debbie (husband, Jim) Bradford of The Villages, FL and Karen Cosbey of Riverton; grandchildren, Lindsay (husband, Matthew) Schmitz of Edwardsville and Michael and Vince Cosbey of Riverton; two great-grandchildren, Bailey Schmitz and Alana Cosbey; brother Kenneth (wife, Marc) Simmons of North Pekin, IL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Graveside Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 10th, 2017 at Oak Hill Cemetery, 4688 Old Route 36, Springfield with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating.
