Frances A. Ahlgren Reed

Frances A. Ahlgren Reed, 61, of Springfield, died at 11:37 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. Fran was born March 7, 1956 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Alphonse J. and Doris J. Jones Puleo. She married Jim Reed on June 22, 2012 in Springfield. Fran graduated from Southeast High School in 1974 and was employed at Danville Bowl in Danville, CA as a Pro Shop manager for 15 years. She enjoyed vegetable gardening and canning. Fran was a wonderful cook, wife, mother, daughter, grandma, step-mom, and sister. She was preceded in death by her father, Alphonse Puleo; grandparents; and great-grandparents. She is survived by her husband, Jim of Springfield; daughter, Ariana "Ace" Holland of Peoria, AZ; granddaughter, Harper Holland of Peoria, AZ; mother, Doris (husband, Leroy) Baines of Springfield; step-children, Nicole, Tawnya, and Evan, all of CA, Amanda of Rochester, and Cory of Springfield; seven step-grandchildren; sister, Kristy (husband, Kevin) Hawkins of Springfield; mother-in-law, Betty Reed of Springfield; one aunt; and several sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Graveside Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Rochester Cemetery with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating.
